Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:The Lucky Bamboo is very easy to grow and pretty self-sufficient. It derives the necessary nutrients from water so make sure you change out the water frequently. You can fertilise your Lucky Bamboo plant every couple of months. Repotting : The Lucky Bamboo eventually outgrows the pot. This is when you will have to repot. If you are repotting the Luck Bamboo in water, choose a pot larger than the previous one. Propogation : The easiest way to propagate the Lucky Bamboo is by taking a cutting from the healthy stalk and rooting it in water or soil.
Common Problems
Why is my Lucky Bamboo turning yellow? The source of water is very important for the Lucky Bamboo since it derives the necessary nutrients from water. Unfiltered tap water can have harmful chemicals which can harm the plant and cause yellowing of the plant. Make sure you use filtered water and keep changing the water often. 2. Why are my lucky bamboo leaves burnt? Exposure to direct sunlight can burn your plant. Change the position of your lucky bamboo and keep it away from direct sunlight. 3. Tips of my lucky bamboo are turning brown. Browning of leaf tips is caused due to dry air in our homes. Make sure you water your plant enough and keep the environment humid for the plant to grow well.
